Smartframe Technologies Limited - September 1
Smartframe Technologies Limited, a London-based company specialising in smartframe technology solutions, fell into administration last month, with Henry Page and Shaun Walker of Mercer & Hole appointed as joint administrators.

In accounts for the year to March 31 2024, the company reported turnover of close to £13.8 million, up slightly from nearly £13.7 million a year earlier, but operating losses increased from £699,000 to just under £1.3 million.
At the time, the company’s fixed assets were valued at nearly £2 million and current assets at £2.7 million, but net liabilities amounted to slightly over £1.5 million.
Mansell Building Solutions Limited - September 4
Mansell Building Solutions Limited, a specialist steel construction materials contractor based in Oldham, fell into administration last month, with Christopher Ratten and Gareth Harris of RSM UK Restructuring Advisory appointed as joint administrators.
In accounts for the year to December 31 2024, the company’s turnover increased slightly from £13 million to £13.1 million. However, operating profits fell from £1 million to around £647,000.
At the time, its fixed assets were valued at around £121,000 and current assets at £9.9 million, while net assets totalled around £5 million.
Harlequin Brickwork Limited - September 4
Harlequin Brickwork Limited, an Ascot-based brickwork company and a related company of Harlequin Scaffolding Solutions Limited, fell into administration in late August, with Alan Coleman and Marco Piacquadio of FTS Recovery again appointed as joint administrators.
In accounts for the year to November 30 2024, the company’s fixed assets were valued at around £134,000 and current assets at £8.6 million, with total equity standing at just under £2.1 million.
Saj Capital Limited - September 4
Saj Capital Limited, a Birmingham-based real estate investment firm specialising in Murabahah Sukuk, an Islamic trust contract that complies with Sharia law, fell into administration last month, with Sandra Fender of Sanderlings appointed administrator.
In accounts for the year to March 31 2025, the company’s current assets were valued at around £5.2 million, while total liabilities exceeded £15,000.
Smart Data Foundry Limited - September 4
Smart Data Foundry Limited, an Edinburgh-based not-for-profit data analytics firm, fell into administration last month, with administrators now seeking to realise value from the company’s assets, principally intellectual property.
The company’s collapse was attributed to increasing financial pressure this year, resulting from a funding shortfall and ongoing cashflow constraints. Following the appointment of administrators, the company has ceased trading, with 25 employees made redundant and five temporarily retained to assist in preserving and safeguarding its assets.
In accounts for the year to July 31 2025, the company reported turnover of £3.5 million, down from £4 million a year earlier, while operating losses widened from slightly under £335,000 to nearly £349,000.
At the time, its current assets were valued at close to £1.4 million, while net liabilities exceeded £659,000.

pureLiFi Limited - September 4
pureLiFi Limited, an Edinburgh-based wireless communications company, fell into administration at the end of last month, with administrators now seeking a buyer for the company’s assets, which include a significant intellectual property portfolio.
The company’s proprietary LiFi technology is a system using light, as opposed to radio frequencies, to transmit data, providing an alternative to 5G and wifi. Despite significant investment and years of technological development, the company was unable to secure the funds needed to sustain its operations.
In the year to December 31 2024, the company’s fixed assets were valued at around £3.5 million and current assets at £6.3 million. Net liabilities, however, stood at £28.8 million.
