Economic advisory firm Oxford Economics has expanded with the acquisition of a strategic business insights provider. FrontierView, which previously traded as Frontier Strategy Group, helps global businesses to evaluate market conditions, drive international expansion and shape their strategic planning.
The company, which was founded in 2008 and has bases in London and Washington DC, brings multi-sector analysis and global strategic expertise into Oxford Economics, with dedicated practices that span Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
According to Oxford Economics, the combination of the two businesses will deliver a rare client offering of “rigorous, globally consistent macroeconomic forecasting, paired with senior, advisory-led insight that translates directly into C-suite decision-making.”
The firm states that this will provide clients with a single, joined-up view, as opposed to requiring them to gather “macro and strategic insight together from separate sources”, backed by a team that offers “a deeper bench of research and a broader global network” than the individual businesses could offer.
Oxford Economics describes the combination as “a natural fit, one that strengthens our advisory capability and deepens our ability to support corporate clients making high-stakes strategic decisions, particularly in healthcare, where this acquisition gives us genuine, specialist depth for the first time.”
Innes McFee, Chief Executive of Oxford Economics, commented: "This acquisition is about unlocking the power of economics to drive real strategic advantage for our clients.”
"By pairing FrontierView's industry-leading C-suite insights with our foundational macroeconomic and sectoral analysis, we are delivering a fully integrated proposition to help our clients navigate an increasingly complex world.”
"Oxford Economics is committed to ongoing development of FrontierView's products, talent, and long-term client partnerships."
Headquartered in Oxford, Oxford Economics provides economic analysis and forecasting services across more than 200 countries, 8,000 regions and cities and 100 industrial sectors.
