A prominent South Yorkshire hotel has been brought to market, with offers of more than £7 million sought. The Crown Hotel in Bawtry comprises 76 boutique bedrooms and suites, a food and drink offering through its bar and restaurant, a function room that can host weddings and other events and an outdoor seating area.
The property is located close to Doncaster Sheffield Airport, which is set to reopen next year, and also features two adjoining retail premises that provide an additional income stream.
The Crown Hotel has been brought to market as a result of General Manager Craig Dowie choosing to retire after 25 years of running the business. The Crown Hotel is on the market with an asking price of offers above £7 million for the freehold, with commercial property consultancy Christie & Co engaged to run the sale process.
Outgoing owner Craig Dowie commented: "After 25 years, I am making my retirement plans, and it comes at a time when Doncaster is about to experience a massive economic boost with several large-scale openings in Doncaster including Doncaster airport."
