UK bathroom and radiator supplier Brand K Group has expanded its bathroom portfolio through the acquisition of a Midlands-based manufacturer. The purchase of bathroom furniture manufacturer Utopia Furniture Limited is Brand K Group’s tenth UK acquisition.
Wolverhampton-based Utopia Furniture, which has been operating for more than 35 years, manufactures bathroom suites, furniture, mirrors, worktops and accessories, supplying more than 600 independent showrooms across the UK, as well as housebuilders through its contracts division.
Utopia Furniture Managing Director Dave Conn, who co-founded the company with Ian Hall, said that Brand K Group was “the obvious choice” to build on the company’s legacy of British manufacturing and product quality, while preserving the values and expertise that have underpinned its reputation.
The acquisition adds another established British manufacturer to Brand K Group’s growing portfolio of bathroom and radiator brands. Based in Bradford, Brand K Group also has operations in Wigan, Leeds, Willenhall, Tewkesbury, Falkirk, New York, Qingdao and Almassora.
Founded in 2008 by Alex Norford, the company now generates annual turnover of over £180 million and employs more than 850 staff.

Harry Walker, a partner at Dow Schofield Watts’ Midlands office, provided corporate finance support to Brand K Group, having advised the group on its nine previous transactions.
