Life-saving technology provider Halma Plc has expanded its healthcare division with a double acquisition. The Buckinghamshire-based group has acquired Swedish firm Naslund Medical and Dutch company itemedical for a total of £54 million, both on a cash and debt free basis.
Itemedical, which also has a UK base, makes digital platforms that integrate real-time patient data and alarms from separate medical devices, helping to support clinical decision-making and workflow efficiency in hospitals.
Post-acquisition, it will be integrated into Halma subsidiary SSG, bolstering the business’ offering to hospital workflow management. The company, which generated unaudited revenue of approximately £7 million in the year to March 31 2026, has been acquired for £20 million.
Naslund Medical specialises in fiducial marker technology, which is used to support targeted cancer treatment. The company’s flagship product, Gold Anchor, facilitates more precise tumour targeting during radiation therapy.
The firm will join Halma’s IZI Medical subsidiary, strengthening its radiation oncology offering and adding an established international footprint. Naslund Medical, which also generated unaudited revenue of around £7 million in the year to March 31 2026, has been acquired for £34 million.
Halma Group Chief Executive Marc Ronchetti said: "These acquisitions strengthen our existing companies by adding complementary capabilities in markets they know well, supporting their long-term growth while enabling improved patient outcomes.”
"They operate in areas which have attractive long-term growth drivers and provide a strong platform for continued innovation and international expansion.”
The two deals continue a significant period of M&A-driven growth for Halma, which invested a record £447 million on five acquisitions in its latest financial year to March. In the current year, the company has already completed an additional two acquisitions, worth approximately £75 million.
