Wirral-based pharmaceutical packaging specialist Chester Medical has acquired Power Health Products, a vitamin and health food manufacturer based in East Yorkshire, for an undisclosed sum.
Operating from sites in Bromborough and Deeside, Chester Medical was founded in 1965 and has been serving the healthcare sector for over 60 years. The company provides specialised packaging services to businesses in the pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics, nutraceutical and veterinary sectors across the UK.
Power Health Products, which was founded in 1972, is a family-owned contract manufacturer of health food supplements, sports nutrition and natural hair and skin care products. The Pocklington-based company employs approximately 80 staff and supports nutraceutical businesses across the UK and internationally.
The acquisition combines Power Health Products’ expertise in product development and manufacturing with Chester Medical’s contract packing and printed packaging manufacturing capabilities.
Following the acquisition, both businesses will continue trading under their existing names, while maintaining their current operations. The deal is described as creating a broader, end-to-end proposition for customers within the UK’s growing nutraceuticals market.

Chester Medical was advised on identifying, negotiating and structuring the deal by a Brabners Deal Advisory team led by Principal Paula McGrath.
