Building maintenance, retrofit and M&E services provider Cardo Group has acquired Correct Contract Services (CCS), a Hampshire-based compliance and energy services firm. The deal expands the group’s presence across South and Central England.
Founded in 2007, CCS has since grown from its initial offering of boiler installations to being a prominent operator, providing electrical, heating and retrofit services to more than 50,000 properties.
In the year to March 31 2025, the company reported turnover of £29 million, up from £27.8 million a year earlier, while operating profit dipped from approximately £3.5 million to around £1.6 million.
The Eastleigh-based company was founded by former gas engineers Danny Gladwyn and Trevor Dempsey. Dempsey, who played a central role in building the business, passed away earlier this month.
CCS director and co-founder Danny Gladwyn described the acquisition by Cardo Group as “an exciting new chapter” for the business and one that “reflects the hard work, commitment and contribution of the entire CCS team, who have played such an important role in building the business into what it is today.”
Gladwyn continued: "This partnership gives CCS even greater scope to grow sustainably and strengthen the services we provide. Our clients and partners will continue to benefit from the same trusted people and quality of service, supported by the additional investment, capability and expertise of the wider Cardo Group."
Cardo Group Chief Executive Liam Bevan said that CCS had developed “an excellent reputation for technical expertise, strong customer relationships and commitment to quality.”
He continued: "Though this acquisition comes after his passing, the values and standards Trevor helped establish are exactly what made CCS the right fit for Cardo. It's an important milestone as we expand our footprint across the South of England and continue to deliver safer and more energy-efficient homes for communities."
Cardo Group was advised on the deal by a Knights team, led by corporate partner Emma Borrington, who said that CCS’s strategic objectives were “closely aligned with Cardo's wider growth strategy”, adding that the CCS team “adds further specialist capability to the group's customer proposition.”
