Wilson Partners, an accountancy and advisory firm with a network of offices covering South and Central England, has been acquired by the major private equity-backed group Affinia. Wilson Partners is itself supported by investor Fieldhouse.
Headquartered in Maidenhead, Wilson Partners has offices in Cambridge, Sevenoaks, Woking, Exeter, Newton Abbot, Oakham and Plymouth.
The firm now joins Affinia, which has been a portfolio company of RedBird Capital Partners since April 2026. The company serves owner-managed businesses, mid-market organisations and entrepreneurs.
Affinia operates 33 offices, covering a similar geography to Wilson Partners, and generates annual revenues of over £160 million, with approximately 1,600 staff.
Post-acquisition, the combined business will continue to invest in its team and client services, as well as shared technology platforms, with Wilson Partners gaining access to the group's proprietary AI platform, RedBird X.
Affinia Group Chief Executive Darren Redmayne commented: "From the very beginning, our goal has been to build a new kind of accounting services firm that leads with purpose, invests in its people and embraces technology responsibly. Wilson Partners shares that philosophy, joining with an outstanding reputation for exceptional client service, entrepreneurial thinking and a people-first culture.”
"Together, we are creating a firm with the scale to invest, the capability to support increasingly complex clients and, most importantly, a culture that remains genuinely entrepreneurial, collaborative and dedicated to championing the businesses that are the beating heart of the UK economy."
Allan Wilson, founder and managing Director of Wilson Partners, said that the two companies “shared the same values and long-term ambition.”
He continued: "Joining Affinia creates exciting opportunities for our people, broadens the expertise and international opportunities available to our clients, and gives us an even stronger platform for future growth while staying true to what has always made Wilson Partners different."
Mike Zabik, partner at RedBird Capital Partners, said that, since the firm’s initial investment in Affinia, it had been “impressed by the quality of the leadership team, the pace of integration, and the consistency with which the group has executed its long-term strategy.”
Zabik added that Wilson Partners represented a “strong addition” to Affinia’s platform and “further validates our conviction in the opportunity to build a genuinely differentiated advisory firm headquartered in the UK and able to deliver solutions for its clients globally."
